How do I cancel my subscription? |

If you feel that you are no longer benefiting from the thousands of home-based job seekers that access our site and you wish to cancel your subscription, you may do so with a few very simple steps;
- Login to your profile using your User Name and Password
- At the bottom of your profile you will find a series of tabs used to access your information. Click on the fourth tab titled SUBSCRIPTION.
- If you are currently subscribed to a Profile Plan, it will be listed here. At the bottom you will see a button titled UNSUBSCRIBE. Click it to cancel your Profile Plan.
At GoMatador.com, we feel that we provide the best means for networking, growing your contacts, harvesting the hottest leads, and for finding great candidates that are eager to find work-at-home opportunities. If you desire to cancel your subscription because you are not getting the results you were expecting, we would like to invite you to contact us directly and we will personally assist you in fine-tuning your profile and Plan to more effectively attract those you are seeking. Of course, you are always welcome to unsubscribe, but if we can assist you in reaching your goals and keep you as part of the GoMatador network, please contact us!

Setting up your Profile / Getting Started

Getting started is easy!
- Selected which plan is right for you, fill in the required information and sign up using a debit/credit card.
- You will immediately be emailed a link which helps our servers identify you as a real human and not a "bot" set up to spam our site.
- In the email, click on the attached link to activate your new profile. You will be forwarded to the GoMatador site and prompted for your User Name and Password.
- Now you have access to your new profile, where (depending on what profile level you have chosen) you may add your picture(s), links, contact information, personal/company details and other information that will allow you to better connect with users who are seeking home-based opportunities.
- Additionally, your new profile will appear in refined searches by our users, who have the option of contacting you within our private messaging system if your company interests them.

How do I update my Profile? |

Setting up your Profile / Getting Started

After you have selected your desired option within the "Get a Profile" tab in the Main Menu, you are required to enter your name, email address and password upon registration, while also paying your subscription fee. After your payment has been accepted, you will be emailed an activation link to the email provided. If you do not receive this confirmation email, FIRST check your junk email folder, THEN try logging in to GoMatador.com using your email address and password. This action will generate a new confirmation email. You must click this provided link to activate your profile.
Next, you will want to login in with your user name and password (at the bottom left of the front page of GoMatador.com), to see your profile page. Your user name is your first and last name OR you can login using the email address provided at registration. To edit the fields for public view, mouseover the EDIT tab in the upper left of your profile section (see the Figure below) and select UPDATE YOUR PROFILE.
Within the EDIT tab you will find many fields which will provide those seeking home-based opportunities information about you/your company. The higher level of profile selected, the more fields are available. Remember, this is what users browsing for information are going to see when they find your profile in a search. Please be sure to give an honest, accurate assessment of your opportunity! Users can report profiles they feel are misleading.

Why are profile prices different for Franchises, Affiliate Marketing Companies and Independent Reps? |

GoMatador.com profiles are priced differently for Independent Reps of Network Marketing companies, Affiliate Marketing companies and Franchisors mainly because each type of profile will yield a unique type of lead for the profile owner, the value of which are very different. A franchise company will most likely be contacted via their profile less often, but the value of closing a lead is far greater since forging a new relationship will result in a franchise fee as well as monthly royalties. Similarly, an Affiliate Marketing company can generate large, immediate income from connecting with the right person and this income generation will benefit their entire company, whereas an independent rep from an MLM company will be more or less on their own, reaping a smaller monetary benefit from each lead.
We at goMatador have worked hard to provide fair, concise pricing that will easily be recovered by converting a small number of leads. To better describe what a home based franchise is, first we must be familiar with what differentiates a franchise from other forms of businesses. The foundational value of a franchise is typically its name, the trademarks associated with the name, the benefit to the Franchisee of the marketing dollars spent by the Franchisor to build recognition of the brand, and tried-and-true systems and procedures that have been proven to work in various markets. A franchise allows an entrepreneur to avoid "reinventing the wheel" by utilizing the Franchisor’s proven tactics to launch into business ownership. For instance, McDonald’s fast food restaurants are a franchise business model. The Franchisor (the corporate headquarters) provides all the advertising and marketing, the packaging, the vendor relationships, t he business plan, the training, etc. The Franchisee purchases the franchise territory, and makes royalty payments to the Franchisor.
A Franchisee agrees to pay a fee to the Franchisor in exchange for permission to operate a business or sell a product or service using the established business name and systems. The Franchisee is usually granted an exclusive territory in which he or she is the only distributor of the particular goods or services in that area. Additionally, certain laws, known as Franchise Disclosure laws, are in place to protect the Franchisee/Franchisor relationship, requiring the Franchisor to disclose certain facts such as the true cost of operating the Franchise, the background of the company and all fees involved. Although franchise deals can be different, they usually require up-front franchise fees, and/or monthly or quarterly royalties paid to the Franchisor.
Work-from-home franchises are simply businesses that have utilized the franchise business model for home-based or home-office business. During the 1960’s and 70’s, many new companies sprang up using this model and unscrupulously found loop-holes in the process that allowed them to exploit the way the system worked. Laws were passed prohibiting “pyramid” type schemes and certain non-legitimate business practices. These laws have now been in place over 20 years and many, many legitimate and successful companies are using the MLM model to distribute their products and services. The companies utilize their independent representatives to spread the word about the company’s products/services and recruit other reps to do the same via word-of-mouth.
